We recommend being aware of your surroundings, especially in crowded areas, and avoiding walking alone in unfamiliar parts of cities.
It is also recommended to secure valuables, avoid using public transportation, and follow local advice to ensure a safe and enjoyable trip.

Stretching along the Pacific Ocean, the coast is the perfect destination for relaxation, water sports, and enjoying the area's laid-back lifestyle. The best time to visit is during the dry season, from December to April, when the weather is sunny and ideal for beach activities.
Guayaquil, Ecuador's bustling port city and gateway to the coast, is located within walking distance of many of the country's main beaches.
We recommend the following hotels in Guayaquil:

Ecuador's Amazon region is a truly unique destination, offering a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to explore the world-famous Amazon rainforest. The best way to access this region is from Quito, Ecuador's capital.
If time doesn't allow for a more in-depth exploration of the Amazon, we highly recommend visiting Puyo, a beautiful town on the border between the mountains and the Amazon region. Puyo offers a perfect introduction to the Amazon!
We recommend the following hotel in Baños, Puyo, which we loved!
If you're looking to explore the Amazon region in a more immersive way, we recommend visiting La Casa del Suizo, a renowned eco-lodge that offers a deeper connection with the rainforest through unique excursions and cultural experiences.
We loved the experience!!
To reach the lodge, you have to take the road from Quito to Punta Ahuano, a small town on the north bank of the Napo River.
From there, you'll canoe down the river, which will take you directly to the lodge, where you'll experience the heart of the Amazon rainforest and be surrounded by nature.
Both resorts (Samari in Baños and Casa del Suizo in Napo) offer a variety of on-site activities, including guided jungle hikes, river excursions, and cultural experiences, ensuring a memorable and immersive stay in the Amazon region.
